SAN ANTONIO - Six homes and one storage shed were burned in a series of fires on the East side.
Around 4:46 p.m. on Tuesday, crews responded to a major fire at the corner of Nolan Street and North Gevers Street.
When they arrived, the original structure was in full bloom, with heavy flames coming from the structure.
That fire had spread to the neighboring home, as well as three other homes behind that one.
A second spot fire from the embers of the others also broke out just a block away.
In total, six homes and one storage shed were caught in the blaze, with firefighters blaming the fire on the dry conditions and high temperatures.
Red Cross may assist in the relocation of the residents affected, although the number of residents affected is not currently known.
Nobody was injured in the blaze, however, one dog was rescued from a burning home.
The initial cause of the fire has yet tobe determined. Firefighters are investigating the situation.
