Dec 12, 2023Learn About Container Gardening in This Free Class in Texarkana
Do you love to garden but you have limited space and would love some free advice? You can learn all about container gardening from the pros and it's free.
The Bowie County Master Gardeners along with the Texas A&M-Texarkana's Extended Education and Community Development Department will present the program "Sustainable Container Gardening".
Aaron Harding, a Cass County Master Gardener will lead the class and show you how containers can be a great way to garden. You can use containers to make and area more attractive like on a porch or deck. Using containers works wonderfully if you have a small or limited space.
Containers also make it easier to relocate a plant if you feel it's getting too much sun or not enough. Plants can also be easily moved indoors during the winter to protect them from freezing.
You will also have the chance to ask questions after the presentation.
The class will take place on Monday, June 12 starting at 6 PM until 8 PM. The class is free and open to the public. It will all take place in the Texas A&M Texarkana University Building, Room 326. No reservation is required to attend.
For more information, you can call the Bowie County Extension Office at (903) 628-6702 or Emily Newsome at Texas A&M-Texarkana at (903) 223-3039.
